
Siôn McGeever
Siôn brings 25 years of experience of working in environmental policy, international development and business. Before joining the South Downs National Park Authority as CEO Siôn was Deputy Director, Access, Landscapes, Peatlands and Soil at Defra, leading the team responsible for policy and funding for all of England’s protected landscapes.
Prior to joining DEFRA, Siôn worked for the Department for International Development and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office where he designed and implemented programmes and policies in Africa, South America and Asia, focusing on transport, trade, climate, energy, water, land reform and migration.
Siôn has an MEng in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Environment, Development and Policy from the University of Sussex. Before joining government he worked in Manufacturing Management roles in the UK, Australia and Fiji.
